The Maghreb Foundation

Case Study

The Maghreb Foundation is a non-profit civil society organization. It aims to serve the Moroccan community residing in the Republic of Turkey in the following ways:
– To deepen the friendship between the Moroccan and Turkish peoples.
– To boost ties between the community and official and non-governmental entities.
– To strengthen social cohesion among the community and reinforce its social integration in the country.
– To preserve relations between the community and the motherland.

As Morocco Foundation is a new brand, the main challenge was building a complete visual identity from scratch without any previous reference. It was essential for the design to reflect the authenticity of Moroccan art in a modern style that aligns with market requirements.

Other challenges included:
Designing a logo that reflects the Moroccan spirit, combining traditional ornaments with elegant Moroccan calligraphy, while adding a modern touch that aligns with contemporary design trends.
Developing a cohesive visual identity with colors inspired by Moroccan culture, such as green, red, and dark gray, along with geometric patterns inspired by Moroccan architecture.
Designing a professional brochure that showcases the foundation’s services, using visual patterns inspired by Arabesque and Moroccan ornaments, with a layout that enhances the ease of reading the information and the overall appeal of the design.

To ensure that Morocco Foundation’s identity reflects the cultural and artistic essence of Morocco, a precise approach was followed in the design process, which included:

Designing the logo from scratch:

Drawing inspiration from traditional Moroccan ornaments, mashrabiya, and Andalusian palace patterns, with modern touches that reflect development and innovation.

Using elegant Moroccan calligraphy to add a luxurious character to the brand, while maintaining a balanced visual appeal in the letters.

Choosing vibrant colors such as emerald green, crimson red, and dark gray, reflecting the cultural diversity of Morocco.

Building a complete visual identity:

Developing a color system inspired by Moroccan markets and traditional architecture, while integrating ornamental patterns that evoke a sense of authenticity.

Creating cohesive designs for promotional materials, such as business cards, letterheads, and product packaging, to ensure visual consistency.

Selecting flexible decorative patterns and layouts that enhance the brand’s uniqueness across various applications.

Designing a brochure that reflects Moroccan character:

Using a design inspired by Moroccan art, incorporating decorative frames, Arabesque patterns, and traditional color palettes to give the design an elegant touch.

Organizing the information in the brochure in a clear and easy-to-read layout, helping potential clients quickly understand the foundation’s services.

Choosing coordinated Moroccan and modern fonts to enhance the design and ensure a seamless visual experience.

We successfully launched a complete visual identity for Morocco Foundation that reflects the beauty of Moroccan heritage with a modern touch, and the achievements included:

Designing an exclusive logo that combines authenticity and luxury, with ornamental details inspired by Moroccan architecture.

Developing a cohesive color and font system that reflects Moroccan cultural identity, using green, red, and dark gray to represent the diversity of Moroccan heritage.

Designing an elegant and professional brochure that showcases the foundation’s services in an attractive manner, using designs inspired by traditional Moroccan styles.

Providing a complete visual guide to ensure visual consistency across all communication channels of the foundation.

Thanks to this precise strategy, Morocco Foundation now has a strong visual identity that reflects its unique character, enhancing its market presence and giving it a distinctive starting point in the business world.
